#View! and :oldm

I've encountered a View! oddity. Someone on the MIDI Forum suggested
adding ;oldm to get around the new CIS MAIL prompt. I added it in
parameters, saved it, then went to read some already collected messages.
Every time I tried to change forums with the pull-down menu, View! would
guru. I went back and deleted ;oldm, and everything was back to normal.
Since I understand you and Jim are working on an update, it is only a
temporary problem. But I'd be curious to know if you can reproduce it.

Yes, I can reproduce it as well as some other oddities using ;OLDM. Until
the update is ready (both Jim and I are putting finishing touches on it)
I'd suggest you use ;OLDM only when you want to get email — just go into
Edit Parameters and add it, then click on USE rather than SAVE. It is a
bother but there was no way to test the changes before they went into
effect.

I encounterd the same problem, only I did not make the connection
with ;OLDM.

It always seems obvious once you know. Before I realized, I was
envisioning all sorts of nasty causes. :')
