I'm going to query Adobe on this also, but just thought I'd ask here. I set up some pages to compare my Bitstream freebies to Adobe type in PageMaker and ATM conked out completely. I was putting Bitstreams Century Schoolbook on the same page as Adobe's New Century Schoolbook, and ATM refused to render the Adobe type, and instead I got an expanded bitmap. More interesting: When I tried to flush left the Adobe text, the characters in each line all piled on top of each other at the left margin. And if I tried to justify it exploded all over the place. Has anybody else tried this and noticed similar problems? If it can't be fixed, I guess Bitstream is off my potential suppliers list.

I have heard talk that a version 1.02 of ATM is being sent to all registered users. It supposedly fixes the problems with Bitstream fonts. Unfortunately, I'm not sure of the timing.

I've also heard that ATM 1.02 will address the problem of insufficient boldness on characters that have been made bold from the Style Menu (I use a "short menu" version of screen fonts). <BW>

Well, Dan, You've certainly encouraged me to send in my registration card! Dave

David, Are you sure you didn't have a font number conflict? Dave
