B.W. — We have no plans currently to release an AutoCAD that supports the Weitek, because our tests indicate that we would not realize a significant speed increase over the 80×87 versions. We have thought about introducing a 386-387 specific version of AutoCAD, but again, our tests indicate a speed…

From: DONALD NEWLANDS Autodesk · General April 22, 1988 8:54 PM
Hi, I was just wondering if you are posting the conference transcripts anywhere on the SIG??? If you posted them all it would probably take a new data library, but what if we could just see the (unedited) log of the last week's conference in DL9? It would sure save…

Yup they are identicel system for system. The only difference being one uses an AboveBoard switched to backfill the 512 to 640K while the other uses QEMM.SYS to backfill using the MEM20 board extended. No TSR's are allowed, and besides the only trouble I find with those is on initial…

No, this has not changed; the uncompiled new fonts are not supplied, but can be mailed to customers at the request of their dealer. As for uploading the fonts to a DL, the general consensus seems to be: just download the de-compiler in DL10 (SHX2SH.ARC), and uncompile the fonts yerself!…
#22073 CONVERT R9 to v2.62 Message #22120
From: Steve McCall [ADESK] Autodesk · General April 22, 1988 11:54 AM
I don't know of an existing program to do this, but it wouldn't be too hard to do. Basically, you want to remove any Spline curves from the R9 drawings, create a DXF file, and then remove lines 381-396 from this DXF file. Then you can DXFIN with Version 2.62.…
