Don't be sorry. That was an accurate description of the situation. One of the better and less blantantly biased ones we've seen around here lately.

My comment was made more in jest then anything else. The problem I had was in editing the message I'd just written. I did a search and replace and it appeared to work until I previewed the message. No correction had been made. The editor I'm using is the one…

Well, I'd like to put in my 3 cents worth. Before TDI came out with the Amiga M2 compiler, I was forced to use C, which was alright, but I was not happy with it. When TDI M2 came out for amy, I was very excited and used it for…

The best way to 'vote' for (or against) anything in the marketplace is with your pocketbook. If the preceeding statement is true, then it behooves each of us who disapprove of CP to NOT buy products that are protected. That's the best and fastest way to make the point. /^o^\

Kurt, CIS has 400,000 users or so – Amiga Forum 10,000+. You can always type GO FEEDBACK to complain about not having a local CIS node. Also, check GO PHONES frequently as CIS is always adding new access numbers. Marlene

Painter Programs Message #134256
From: Vic Wagner Forum: The Amiga Forum July 12, 1988 2:07 AM
First let's clear up one misconception you have. IFF and HAM are orthogonal to each other. HAM is a display mode, IFF is a representation of (I presume you mean ILBM here) a display on an external file. I own both DeluxePaint II and Digi-Paint. I have used DeluxePaint substantially…

Well, that's my point Larry. If you don't like Lisp, that shouldn't be the only way to do IPC, ditto with anything else, including ARexx. None of my comments should be construed as criticism of ARexx's performance, which I am sure is probably excellent, considering who wrote it – I…

Scott, ARexx may not implement IPC in what you consider the 'right way', but it does provide IPC for any program, and more so if the programs have an ARexx interface. It does this now, and does it well. As far as i know, there are no other packages that…
