#Silver Message #82253
From: Ed Kellerman Autodesk Software Forum · Autodesk 3D Studio February 8, 1994 12:47 PM
Hey Nik, I just tried "Silver" at the slower speeds, and I like it better! All the way up to 3. What speed did you like best? Thank for looking at it, and letting me know! Problem with WINCIM. I have lost big chunks of some threads. If I reset…

Haven't had my coffee yet! (Missising?!) I forgot to put it in HEAT24.ZIP also.
#Missising Keyword Message #82231
Hi Jeff. Could you add the keyword KELLERMAN to HEAT25.ZIP? Thanks.

Oh, I forgot there is DeLuxe Paint for the Amiga. It is way more advanced than the PC program. Never seen the Amiga program personally. That may be what you where referring to. I believe the Amiga version is much more popular than the PC version.

But, I was not referring to DeLuxe Paint Animator (I have and use DeLuxe Paint Animator also. It is no longer being upgraded), I was referring to DeLuxe Paint Enhanced II. "Just-a-drawing-program" (as far as Electronic Arts is concerned). I own a 1989-vintage copy. I used it for "Space Tunnel."…

OK, good description, I am getting the idea! If this project takes off, I'll start reading on the subject, and become a 3D renderer, so that I see what is needed directly. Is there a need for STILL textues. I haven't actually looked at them yet, and I don't think…

Nik, I just got a mail message, addressed to SYSOP Ed Kellerman!. Flattering! The person was having problems posting messages. I sent you the message by E-MAIL, I did not have approval to place his message in the forum from him, and did not know if you guys had some…

No, I think that was after I stopped using microcomputers/PCs, for a few years (79-89). I do remember the name Osborne. He, or someone by the same name, gave a talk at IBM, where he stated something like: the price of computers is coming down the volume of computer sales…

Announcing a new use for AniPro and a new use for spreadsheets! HEAT25.ZIP, a most significant animation, is on the way! If this new use for AniPro must have a name, call it "Algorithm Convergence Visualization." In HEAT25.ZIP, you'll see how: 1. A worksheet is used to determine the temperature…

I've been wondering myself. I used to have all the time in the world to answer messages, and now its been several days before I could reply to yours! Besides the book, I have received other suggestions also, and started checking them out. As I told Steve, I would really…

(Continuation) I haven't heard of "groovie," so can't help there either. Actually, I've never used a player. Gotta look into them. Something else I will be looking into soon, is sound. Can you recommend a sound card that would also handle voice recognition? Ed

John, have you gotten a chance to look at TEXT01.ZIP. It may not be anytthing like what you need but who knows?
#81184 #Selfish! Message #81585
I've had more time to think about your suggestion. You certainly believe in it! I still don't understand what's wrong with my argument. Why haven't the old books been updated and put back on the shelfs? I've got a couple of irons in the fire now, so can't do anything…

I don't know why I though the file was already there. I though maybe I didn't know where to look. Didn't mean to rush you. BTW, should I be uploading to other places, besides ADESK. I've heard about "GO GRAPHICS," but don't know if it's relevant, or where to go…

No, I haven't seen that book. The boolean stuff sounds real interesting, I've never tried anything in that area. It sounds that would you've done is perfect for the Scientific American Mathematical Recreations (the one Marting Gardner used to do). If you need a way of generating letter combinations, I…

Hm. Does that mean that your PC runs faster than mine (Zeos 486-66; Viper with 2 Meg), or that you like your Silver to look different than I do? I guess that I should say something about your (very flattering) requests for tutorials in most of your messages. I am…

Did the effect of shiny metal work (or not work) for those that downloaded "Silver?" It was uploaded with a jiffy setting of 0. It should have been set at 1.

Hi Mark: Sorry about the delay. You caught me at a very busy time. I am happy you are taking a look at my files. HAND35.ZIP is a 1024×768 FLC. I create FLCs up to 1280×1024. I have a Viper graphics card with two meg, but could do 1024×768 FLCs…

I usually do. I try to fight a tendency to play 30 hr. days but occasionally I'll stop later and later and up skipping a night. My typical up hours are 1PM to 7AM. You may know (from my other notes) that I do all my stuff at home. It's…

What a nice way to start the day! I think it's important for you (all) to know that I was starting to wonder if my work was worthwhile (defined as an activity that results in money or recognition). When 1993 ended I had only received feedback on my uploads twice…

I hadn't seen what you wrote when I answered the message. You'd need "FIT COLORS" set for the CEL, right? BTW, if you do a PICTURE CLEAR RENDER ALL, prior to repasting for example, the color cycling goes away.
