John, I really hope that they finally go for DynaView. The thing about an Universal NT 3d viewer is nice, but since 3ds will not be able to interact with it, it seems worthless (for now 🙂 I think is a step in the right direction. One more question… how…

Ara, I don't have experience with the Viper. However, it seems that there is a problem using a PCI setup and Vibrant drivers. I think that Gus Grubba has a Viper in his new DEC XL and he is having problems with it. Someother people also points in the same…

I think (but probably I'm wrong) that Techex only distribute Truevision, no Matrox. They have central offices in Germany, with offices arround Europe. They distribution net includes Spain, but I'm not sure about Pavel's country. Great help, uhn?

The future of TIE! let Lucas know that I put all my equipment for their renderings if they need too (of course, send me a beta!) But seriously, it seems that there are problems with the inline drivers and the PCI bus. Vibrant is working on drivers for some boards…

Daniel, Let's get it straight 🙂 You will never get the same color, bright and contrast of your monitor in print. Well, at least not by saving a TGA file and dumping it to film. If you want to preview in your monitor something that aproximates the final output, you…

Yes, that's what I know about it. So, are you going PCI or you will wait a few months? We have bought DEC XLs (one for 3ds, one for printing) with PCI buses. We have bought them _without_ video because we want to add a Matrox MGA-2 PCI. They will…

Undoubtly, John, when it comes to print, 3ds is not the best way to go. The major advantage of a specialized printing enviroment is not only the postprocessing capabilities but the color control for a different color space. Of course, you can take color as seriously as you want or…

Gus, Don't you think that VLB is also doomed? I mean, PCI have some clear advantages over VLB: 1)It's autoconfigurable 2)It's as cheap as VLB 3)It's processor independent. At least, that's what all the people say With all the major crowd taking the PCI as the standard for their PCs,…
