I can't see what could I want 3ds to print when I have specialized applications that can get the most of our printing system and link us with press systems. My world runs on RGB, but most of them runs now on CMYK. I really don't need printing from 3ds,…
Gus tell you all, but Keith too. For me, both are ok. 3ds takes the tiny stupid DOS, throw it away, and take the whole control of the machines. NT, OS/2 and the others, provides everybody with an standard enviroment to develop all kind of solutions _without_ limiting theirselves to…
Great question! Seems like Rachel Rosenthal (sorry about the spell) and John Ellis are the official architectural people makers in the forum. Both are here, so you can talk with them. I think that both have examples (rendered) of their people in the ASOFT libraries, so take a look and…

>IPAS routines should not be interfaced purely through numbers and sliders, >the approach should be intuitive. Now tell me an example of that.

I agree with all of you. I want a great main program to have a standard base to start with, and then customize it the way I want. IPAS are great, and I think add-ons are a must in all programs. Fortuantely, it seems that the developers of software think…

I'm not sure about the DVR price. Someone says that it will be more expensive than the Vistas, but others said that (without the memory) you can get it at Targa price. The last I have heared is that there are two brief new product releases in the Truevision forum.…

It's not the imaginery in the little mermaid, but the history. For example, do you know when the sexy Ariel discovers her legs? And why she have to pay with her voice (a part of her, and a symbol of sexuality development) to the evil power -remember the Bible, the…

You won't find that in Australia. Well, probably the Sidney Opera Hall , but that is a symbol for very sick minds… yeah, probably 30 and up minds. Fortunately I am still in my twenties 🙂

I pay for it $79+shipping directly from Fractal Design Corporation. Phone number to order Fractal products: 800 647-7443. I think that the offer on the price (upgrade price) ends on September, but you can try. Anyway, the price is not bigger than $200 ($179 I think).

I wrote him a note in the Truevision forum. He is looking for a localbus vga/pal board of for real time playing and a sony evo or a (in)famous Sanyo for accurate truecolor work when he need it, and I pointed him to this forum, specially thinking on you and…

Sneaky change of subject everywhere in CIS. "mmmh, oh yeah, that phallus in image 24 at 3ds. BTW, talking about Jung, can I put my wishlist in for the DPS PAR software with you? I want to do it because I need some textures for my next animation and want…

Sex is everywhere, ladies and gentlemen. You only have to read each innocent fairy tale you can find to know what pornography is about. From the chinese legends to the russian tradition, to the long first epic poems in spain. All is sex everywhere. And I'm not a sex maniac.…

No, X2 is not the same than Painter 2.0. You will find the following new features in the extensions (which are now a main part of my life 🙂 -message from Mark Zimmer summarizing the new features- X2: Multiple floating selections within an image. List for identifying group structure for…

No Martin, I don't have Photostyler yet. I order the upgrade ($150!) a month or so ago. And I don't have to tell you what is the reason of the soon departure of Photoshop from Hard Disk Land Don't expect an "upgrade" from Photostyler. Photostyler 1.1a will be to Photostyler…

yeah, probably we will see a 3DO version of "Mario _Yost_" soon
From: krazy images Autodesk Software Forum · OpSys/Networks October 27, 1993 10:19 PM
Yes, you are wrong Robert. I think that you have let fly your imagination a bit or probably I'm not too accurate in my descriptions. Yes, I said that the Photostyler 2.0 + Painter x2 will be a killer combo, but the only way you will get them linked is…

You don't need to do "some Freudian work". YOU are The Freudian Work
From: krazy images Autodesk Software Forum · Take 5 October 26, 1993 1:01 PM
Yes, in the bottom. It's clear, but also could be the perspective. Hey, Martin, I think you don't have to do the Jung project. Why don't start with Freud?
Sure Robert. How many alpha renderers do you want? I'm sure that Gary will give you the exact day of the release of that renderers. C'mon, have you forget to whom you are talking? Yost, Gary Yost (003DS with license to program) But of course, all of us can dream…
Your idea is great. It could not be that bad to run (model) 3ds under x86 emulation (althought it seems that NT only do 286 emulation) in a DEC Alpha platform. And it could not be that difficult to make a rendering (cheap:) module compiled to the platform in question.…

Who knows, Loko? The upgrade is shipping right now. They took a little time BETWEEN the final announcement and the final shipping and they said that it was because they added even _more_ new features to it. Hey! It could be nice to open the effects windows and find a…

You will do a bad move then. I have PhotoShop and PhotoStyler, and now use more PShop, but the PhotoStyler upgrade will move Photoshop out of my hardisk for sure 🙂 BTW, have you got Painter X2? I have no words for what you can do with this program I…

Nothing related the word "censoring", specially talking about information, is good to anyone. I know that because I come from a young democracy. i think like you, that all things can be runned naturally. Common sense.

> I always wondered how the forums were run. To Kevin's information, I have to add that non-companies related forums are not runned by Compuserve. For example: The Graphics Forums are runned by a independent company. Each forum is runned by one kind of team, which competes which each other…

According to CIS rules, dealer ads are not permited in the forums (but YES in E-mail). I only have seen one time a strong message from a Sysop to a forum member, invitating him to leave the forum, but that was because repeated unpolish behaviour, no advertisement involved.

I have been in the forum for more than a year now, and I agree with you in this subject. My participation in CI$ was firstly motivated by the existence of this forum and the Truevision section in MULTIVEN. I think that here are people with opinions that I respect…
PCI vs ATI card? Message #62246
From: krazy images Autodesk Software Forum · OpSys/Networks October 18, 1993 10:12 PM
I haven't see the Diamond, even a PCI setup yet! But regarding the ATI Ultra Pro, I have one here, and it has the poorest Windows drivers that I've seen ever. Even the new patches still have error. And overall, I don't like the board, except for the hardware setup.…
