Using DPS or PAR etc, and some software packages you could create anim's using the Mpeg standard, if the Client invested in a Hardware card that could playback Mpeg CD-ROM's e.g. the new DS vid' card or a "Reel Magic" card etc.. they could play the animations back real time…

Yes I have the extra Manual, but waht is the difference between "Inside" for 3 and 4 I have 3. Are you writing a manual for R5 of 3D's yet? And what is the Autodesk University, is it only for Autocad users? Greg 🙂

Fred for LOADS of Feedback try placing images on Graphics forums, I use the SCI-Fi Media Forum for all my Star Trek stuff and I get TONS of Feedback, I havn't bothered with the ASHOWCASE Forum yet! Greg 🙂
Yep they do appear in Grays and you can bugger around with there Contrast etc but thats it, Mind you they are usefull for placing lights objects etc… Try using the Fast Camera Preview for object placement instead if you have a very fast machine! Greg 🙂
For Starship Hulls I use a custom Deathstar.JPG or Cruiser.GIF or Alumin.JPG, this create nice patchs of light on any metal surface Greg 🙂

There is a ST-Pauls mesh on the World creating CD-ROM I think, but I dont think it was a very good one, If no-one can supply one try ringing ST-Pauls and asking them if they have a Architectural plan on sale etc. Greg.

The Field renedering problem is only applies if you put your work down using Targa or PAR systems. So for Still imaging Lens FX is the one to go for, plus hopefully that bug should be solved in the near future, so I would still recommend Lens FX over Ipas…
