Message #106697
Re 386BB delivery date. I checked with Safe Harbor today. They have been shipping BridgeBoards for a coupl of weeks. They are receiving about 40 Bridge Boards per week from C= and have a week or two backlog left. Of course I'm still in the backlog. Dave Kay

Anything New in Sight?
Message #105318
Just picked up July's Amiga Format. In it is an advert from a company called Indi Direct Mail, who are now taking orders for the new `CD Amiga'(with AGA), the delivery of which has been delayed until August! There's also a short (2 page) ariticle on Babylon 5, with 4…
Zorro ?
Message #105071
I know that a ZorroII expansion will work in a ZorroIII machine. Will a Zorro(I) expansion work in a ZorroII machine, by connecting via a ribbon cable? Thanks Dave Kay
Undeleteable File
Message #104785
I had one of those not so long ago. The only way I ound to delete it was with an old utility I have…FixDisk. I beleive this program and others like it can make a direct access to the hard disk, without using all the AmigaDOS commands and checks. Dave…
#Setpatch update

I have WB2.1 as well. I ran `Version C:Setpatch'. The answer was `setpatch 38.31' I don't think I want to update to a lower version. Did you check yours? Dave Kay
#Which 3D?
Message #31883
I'm looking for some help. I want to get started in the world of 3D/Rendering, but don't know which of the many programs to buy. My main usage will be for mechanical objects, eg. bicycle frames, engine components. O am wondering about Real3D. Is this a good choice. Also, is…

Message #103679
Sorry, it's the RIGHT mousebutton that you have to press for 68000 mode
A2630-68000 mode?
Message #103625
Yes you can boot in 68000'er mode if you have OS 2.X. As soon as you switch on or reboot, hold down the LEFT mouse button. You will get a screen asking which mode to boot in. One of the jumpers on the board enables this menu all the time,…
#Commodore RTG
Message #35294
I just picked up the May issue of CU Amiga. On page 8 is a short column about A4000 upgrades from Commodore. It states that there may be upgrades for the A4000 and `other' machines. The first will likely be a display enhancer along the lines of the Retina card.…
ToolManager 2.1
Message #103156
Thanks fo the Idea for getting the drive name. I found a simple way as well using a script. Here is my complete script:- CD DF0: CD >Ram:Diskname.temp Say -s130 -s65 -x Ram:Diskname.temp Has been Inserted. And when a disk is removed:- Say -s130 -s65 -x Ram:Diskname.temp Has Been Removed…
ToolManager 2.1
Message #102996
I have just started using ToolManager 2.1. I would like the computer to say a message whenever a disk is inserted into the floppy drive. I know how to start an event when a disk is inserted (using diskinserted as a Hotkey) but don't know how to get the name…
486BB solution
Message #102916
I had no problem with Briwall, except that they were unable to send me a manual explaining the WB2.04 compatability. It took me a while to figure out that I had to hold down the right mouse button to be able to boot in 68000 mode. They didn't know how…
#486BB Solution
Message #102762
I think that sending my A2630 to Briwall is the key. When C= announced it's clearance sale I phoned them. They wouldn't ship to Canada. Something about the warranty! Dave Kay
Multi-I/O question

Not just the BBs. I'm waiting for a 386BB and a High Density drive for my A2000. Dave Kay

Is it true that Emplant doesn't like Commodores A2630 card for the A2000? Dave Kay
486BB Solution
Message #102296
I'm waiting for my $200.00 386BB. I buy everything mail order from the States, with no problems. I bought an A2630 from Briwall; it crashed randomly. I sent it back, and within a couple of weeks I had a brand new replacement, supplied by Commodore. (The new one had 70nanosecond…
Toaster on J.Rivers'
Message #30796
I thought it was pathetic. Joan was pretending to know nothing, but obviously had been to a rehersal. Mac morphing WAS pretty lame, but not as lame ad S-L-O-W as the IBM running OS/2. I'm glad that even a stock 68000 Amiga can update the screen quicker than that thing…
Left button boot
Message #100926
I have a 2000 HD, WB2.1 and a Commodore '030 card. The right mouse button lets me choose the 68000 or 68030. I also know that a lot of games don't like the FastROM switch of CPU. I use a program called MBpress in my startup sequence which lets me…
Pal Problems
Message #100557
Ian, I have a 2000HD with an A2630 card, and OS1.3 + 2.04 on a swicher. Degrader version 1.30 works OK. Kickstart 2.04 seems to be harder to fool into PAL for those European Demos, than 1.3. Or if you have a 2000 you could install a hardware switch across…
