Utilities Unlimited 1-602-680-9004 Ben, Leigh's Computers
Don't know on Opalvision yet, will check it out when they bring the BBS back up this weekend. Ben, Leigh's Computers
If your using C= 2091 controller on a 4000 the tape drive is driven by the "2nd.scsi.device" rather than "scsi.device". Try alittle less ambitious over scan like 736×480 and make sure mode promotion is off. Ben, Leigh's Computers
YES, it works. I don't know of a UK distributor. And they promis Retina support by the end of this week. Ben, Leigh's Computers
No, problemo! Take care Ben! ;-} The other Ben, Leigh's Computers
I knew when I sent you that letter I was opening a can of worms! ;-} But hey I had too the lies in it were too big for me to let ASDG off the hook! Give 'em justified hell Ben. The other Ben, Leigh's Computers
It exists, it works, BUT they want to make sure it's completely stable. There will be adds in the next month on it ;-}. Ben, Leigh's Computers
Try Redmond Cables, they advertise in Amiga World. If they can't do it I know that Cables To Go can (we got a couple from them). Ben, Leigh's Computers
What version of the software are you using? High density support is three weeks old and I've set up Emplants on other machines too as early as 4 revisions ago of the software (A2000's with GVP's old 28MHZ accelerator),and it actually did multitask well. They've had serial support for the…
Utilities Ulimited's Emplant looked good in thier booth but, YOU know better? Well since I own one and it is working exactly (if not better than, since I'm running system 7.1 and they were running 7.0, and I have a CD-Rom hooked upto my 4000's Emplant) as thiers was then…
We're sold out of drives but if C= is merciful we'll probably have them in a week, give me a call at the store 1-800-321-6434 any day except Tue/Thurs (my days off , oh also not this Friday since I'll be huanting WOC show) 10-7 Mon-Fri, 10-6 Sat, 12-6 Sun.…
We can get HD drives $91.00 buuut, they'll only sell us A3000 versions. This is no problem if the A2000 drive your replacing was a chinnon you can steal the faceplate and the botton from the old drive. Ben, Leigh's Computers
Get version 2.1 of the software, they've posted it on thier BBS the new Sybil.library support HD drives (no you don't need the sybil to use the library. Ben, Leigh's Computers
Color support is upto 256 color on a A4000, and the new version of the software is supposed to solve the Microsoft Problems. Ben, Leigh's Computers
I have the Emplant, it's very good, only thing they need now is to support sound and ami-mac and mac-ami transfers. Sybil is only required for 800K mac disks as of version 2.1 of the software the Emplant can read and write Mac 1.44, IBM 1.44, IBM 720k disks on…
Hey Pete My A4000 will be in store 'till Monday….;-} Ben, Leigh's
Liegh's Computers 1475 3rd Ave Between 83rd & 84th ST Mon-Fri 10-7 sat 10-6 Sun 12-6 I'm in everyday except Tue&thurs Ben
Fine by me, Thanx! Ben, Leigh's Computers
They were for me, Occasionaly my A4000 travels in but not often ;-}. I would gladly do lug it for that! Ben, Leigh's Computers
We are open Sundays, but as for a loaner 1200… well they've sold so well that we can't even keep a demo unit! Ben, Leigh's Computers
It does convert most IFF24's I've converted the Micky.Mpeg file to iff24 then loaded it into Dpaint IV AGA to compile the Anim and it worked fine. Ben, Leigh's Computers
Emplant does allow thier ports to be used under Amigados, the last two things it needs for totality are sound, and Mac Disk support (almost finished). Ben Leigh's Computers
Believe it or not that is not a "scam" a lot of retalors do it and are even encouraged by some manufacturers! Commodore has a Coop ad program where they "pay" dealers for advertizements, almost all of Leigh's Midi music adds are paid for by a lot of the music…
There are 3 different levels of Emplant ranging from about $249.00 to about $349.00 Ben, Leigh's Computers
I would D/l it if it was in Ham8 mode. Ben, Leigh's computers
see my earlier reply on this one Ben
The speed is as fast as say a IICI in 256 colors alot faster in 16. Ben
Yes Photoshop does work on it, When I last checked Mac II roms were between 250-600 dollars, depending on what mood you got Shreeve systems in when they were called. Ben Leigh's computers
My A4000 has finally travelled back home with me, but if you want I can arrange something for you Marion (I could haul it back in for you to see). Ben
Well, do special oredr them, BUT the software still needs some work (they do seem to be working hard though, frequent upgrades and the like). Ben, Leigh's Computers
Spectre is a mac game that runs on the Emplant in upto 256 colors, no sound though. Ben, Leigh's Computers
It works and yes it runs Spectre in 2, 16, and 256 color modes. It recognizes Appletalk but I'm not connected to a Mac at home to try it. Ben, Leigh's Computers
The company's name is (ducking) Utilities Unlimited, and yes I'm running it but keep in mind I only have two pieces of S/W to work with and it did take them MONTHS to get a 4000 but when they did they had software for it to work on the A4000…
I have an Emplant on my 4000 running in 256 colors, it's neat, it'll be even better when they have High density drive support! (specter, and photoshop are the only real programs I have). Ben, Leigh's Computers
Remove the fan cover (make sure you rescreww the fan) and use a scsi cable that doesn't have the fold over the top ( or remove the top bracket on the cable). Ta-da now it fits! BEN:Leigh's Computer's

Just got my GVP info today I'll check. BEN:Leigh's Computer's
That's what I thought, whatever the bug was in pre 1.19 software seems to have resurfaced in 1.21.22… My machine would stay up for 5 minutes after running Digger (at most). BEN:Leigh's Computer's
You got it working on an A4000 ?? I haven't, what rev of the software are you using 1.19 or 1.21.22? BEN:Leigh's Computer's
They are 2.5" drives, yes it is an INSANE jump but thats what the industry's charging for the convienience of 2.5" as opposed to 3.5". BEN:Leigh's Computer's
Not yet hoping for Monday. BEN:Leigh's Computer's
Yes we do still support and sell the Amiga here I'm in every day except Tuesday and Thursday. Currently I have my A4000 that I'm adding all sorts of stuff to set up for demo, NO CHARGE! Give me a call on Wednesday to see it if you want to,…
we're selling the 1200 with an 85 meg drive for $899.00, with a 128 meg for $1199.00. BEN:Leigh's Computer's
Black Belt has been THE BEST company I've ever dealt with, they have always been very patient and helpful with myself and ALL of my customers, I do agree with BBS's method to protect thier investment and in cases such as these I would have the customer deal with me…
see my previous reply, *sigh* C= can't live with 'em can't live without 'em. BEN:Leigh's Computer's
In the the immortal wisdom of C=, they should ship … Dec. 30th (at the latest), according to my rep. (Briliant huh? gee AFTER Xmas) BEN:Leigh's Computer's
We'll have them on Friday,(MBX 1200) how much RAM do you want? BEN:Leigh's Computer's
Awaiting my A4000 for final analysis, so far all I've used on it have been the serial ports BEN:Leigh's Computer's
I did, and I have. One thing to keep in mind is the serial ports act just like thier Mac counterparts, so the modem setup has to be the same as the Mac (yes, even under Amiga dos). When I ran the presets that Supra said to use for the…
I'm going by what the C= reps told me at the Imageworld show, and one other gentleman from a competing institution ;-}. BEN:Leigh's Computer's
Bizzare since C= says it does…Hmm I know someone with both, he mentioned something about a ROM upgrade but I didn't press, now I will. BEN:Leigh's Computer's
