Syndesis makes most of its money from direct sales, too. I've just about given up on distributors. Are you familiar with the interesting "scam" run by Creative Computers / Go Amigo? It's their "coop" advertising system. They sell ad space within their color ads… the 1 5/8 " by 15/16 " ad costs $350 in software, in trade. You can "buy" a mailing label -sized blurb for $900 in software. Of course, that's at distributor price, so get a $100 retail product for $40 in trade, and sell it for about $65. It pays for their ads, many times over… plus they get all that "free" product to do it with. It's certainly business, and probably legit although I wonder if AmigaWorld minds that someone is re-selling the space within its ads…
