Jamie, Please see my E-mail msg. Have a great New Year All ! B-
Dean, Thanks for the info. Silly me, I bought ER specifically to 'Feature-Up' Razor-Pro as specified in their docs. I guess you can't believe everything you read. Have a great New Year ! Brendan G.
Don, I guess you could say it is more of a stabalization of the previously released version. Although it will also offer the Text generator and the motion path generator which were not included in the initial shipping, it will also fix a few of the little creepers that snuck…
P. S. Does anyone know definitively if Premiere 4.0 will support the PAR. I losely followed this thread but was'nt clear as to the outcome ? B-
just one user's opinion….. I have been using Razor Pro for about 10 days now. There were a few initial bumps, ( Ok bugs) but things have smoothed out. I find the product to be very intuitive and FAST…. After the upgrade that ships next week I think all remaining…

Ted, I stand corrected…. but with a slight hint of a brogue in Jamie's voice, shall I dare suggest a Guiness Stout ? Or perhaps a Fosters Lager 🙂
Your a rough fellow to be out here on the boards on ThanksGiving Day resolving your customers woes. : ) I was able to get the drivers from your BBS and at this time all is going well . I must Applaud you & Dave for really nipping my /…

Greg, Thanks for the input. I don't believe that the difficulty is directly related to the PAR. It along with the TBC IV have performed flawlessly in the past few weeks. Another observation in using RAZOR PRO was that if you drag the .ANI clip from the library into the…
Greg, Now that you mention it I forgot about all those wonderful features. Me thinks me smell a BETA release, which would be just fine if I didn't just drop $800.00 on it. Monday will be a day of much conversation with IN-SYNC tech support, and if all else fails…
Folks, Just a quick comment/observation on RAZOR PRO. I just received it yesterday along with the upgrade chip for the PAR. All installed just fine and it seems to handle most things without a problem. I did however experience a problem with .ANI files from the PAR. Heres what I…
Gentlemen, I thank you kindly for your 'Most Excellent' & timely advice. If I had you all in the same room , I'd buy you all a 'Tall Cool One….' So I guess you'll have to settle for a "Virtual Beer" for now…. This Samuel Adams is for you guys…
Pardon the 'twisting of this thread' for a moment but I wonder if someone could offer a word or two of wisdom…. I am trying to use an animation stored on the PAR in Video Post. I am attempting what I thought should be a very simple procedure, using an…
Paul, Thanks for the response.. I was pretty sure you could. I was wondering what would be the most effiecent way to map a series of 'painted' explosion cels over a exploding object.. let's say a fighter jet. Would it look better to use a video composite app such as…
mike, Got a question for ya… ( actually it's open to all ) Is it possible to run a flic in a flic…or actually a series of tifs in specific location in the scene. I can map an image to an object such as a plane, but without going nuts…
#Dem Bones Dem Bones !
Message #82057
Anyone, Dem Bones..Dem Bones.. I am having a inordinate amount of trouble understanding how to smoothly use Bones. I can create an object, ( sorta human ), add axis, assign faces, even rotate the various axis (such as a shoulder) and then update the bones and the arm moves to…
Mike, Newsletter ?? What News Letter ??…. anyway I digress.. At one point you mentioned we might see a uploaded text.doc on the the subject of bones/constraint/freeze… any idea when ?? Weekend in full swing… Brendan G.
Gentleman, I have been trying to some of your 'quite choice' new animatable textures. I was attempting was to make two states altering only a few of the variables and morph between them. I can successfully morph …color…shape…& size…. but, I must be missing something when varying the texture… heres…
Pete, Many sympathies man. It's been a drag watching your wantin' messages the past week or so. Listening to all this chat about bones this and global effects that. If it means anything.. We're rootin' for ya. It can't be long now. Just hang in there, and be prepared for…
Steve, Thanks for the scoop. And while I'm at it, I wanted to thank you for uploading your work, "Seasnake". I must have watched it collectively for at least 40 minutes. It is so simple but so elegant, that it helped me to refocus how I consider 3d anims. I…
Wheres the Fog :^}
Message #80797
Mike, Interesting problem, I can't seem to create a fog object in 3.0 ( or at least a visible fog object. ) Using the same procedure in 2.9 is no problem, but in 3.0 big problem. Any clues ?? P.S. thanks for the light texures doc upload, it really lifted…
Marc, If I remember correctly…( I'm old now (30) so bare with me, this is an known problem with 2.9. It should be fixed in 3.0…… Hang in there a few more weeks…… Brendan Gallagher
Edgar, Thanks for the input I'll definately give it a try. I just received VFW, (the updated version). I didn't realize I could use it for that ! Also thanks to Ed Oats & David H. you guys seem unanimous in your vote for where I should start. I recently…
Rick, Are your tapes all ready to go ? How many are there, and is there a package discount ? They sound very interesting ? Brendan G.

This message is aimed at that wonderful subgroup of IMAGINE users such as myself… Imagine P.C. users. Is anyone out there putting their animation together with sound ? I could use some input. What are you using ( Premire, etc…) Does anyone know of any usable/tasty Shareware products to get…
Tony, I don't know how you folks do it. I must tip my hat to ya. It sounds like something out of that movie S.U.R.V.I.V.E., ……..Alone, on the western coastline of Florida. Day after day, they fought for their very lives, with only their surfboards and their Pina-Coladas keeping them…
Tony, Thanks for the response. Guess we might have to put something together up here. Hope you folks dont discriminate, but I'm a P.C. user. Maybe if there was some interest from local NY/NJ users we could do a traveling show user-net. Meet in different lo-cals. Or even via the…
Hey Peter, Brooklyn ? I grew up in Brooklyn. Lived in Flatbush must of my life. I live out on the Rock now ( Staten Island ). I wonder if there are any other local boys out here ? Brendan G.
Tony, I was wondering, are there User Groups located in different areas ? I live in the New York / New Jersey area and was wondering if there were any user groups around here. If not I think it's a good time to start one ! Where abouts do you…
Imagine 3.0, uhhh
Message #69950
Mike, Quick question, I was trying to use a 320×200 TIFimage created in NEOPAINT 2.2 (Shareware Ver.) of a gray to white gradient as a brush on an object in an animation. I have tweeked it in several different ways with no success. I realize that those darn TIF formats…
Mike, Thanks for the tip. Actually I was speaking to Dave out at Motion Blur the other day and will definitely be ordering the Companion. I also spoke with the folks out at 3D ARTIST in New Mexico and they will be sending on a few issues. Patients is a…
Anthony, Every thing seems to move along just as you described until I get back to the 'STAGE'. I must be missing something because I keep getting the msg … " Warning Can't find Path Object" I can create it, manipulate it, select it, and I thought save it, but…
#Imagine 3.0, uhhh
Message #69726
Assuming you design a scene, and you wanted to "fly" a camera through it, for lets say..20 or 30 frames. I read in the supplement that came with 2.9 that this could be done, if anyone has a minute, could you explain it. I believe it has somthing to do…
Imagine 3.0 – Tutorial ?
Message #69358
Hey buddy can you spare a tutorial ? New to IMAGINE, I've been hammering away for most of a week now on 2.9, and have made some sporatic if not random progress. Working only with the 25 page suplement I'm giving it a valient effort….. BUT, well lets just say…
IMAGINE 2.9 on P.C.
Message #68982
Mike, just a note to say I figured out my problem with running IMAGINE 2.9 on my p.c., I guess it has its own Memory Manager cause it certainly did'nt like mine.( EMM386). After REMing it out all was well. (So far !) Brendan G.
I'm new out here although I have been following the crossfire for a few weeks. Toaster this , Lightwave that, lots of strong feelings out here. I just recently ordered my Imagine 3.0 (with 2.9 on the way), and I look forward to many productive hours & projects with it.…
