We've had a little trouble with our Symbol font, we might be including it on a font disk once we get a few "undocumented features" worked out of it.
Go ahead and remove the PSFonts drawer after you copied all of them into "FCFonts/SWOLFonts".
Thanks, (awwwwww, shucks B^) ) I'll tell the other programmers.
No, Fountain cannot use our fonts. You can copy all of the fonts currently in your PSFonts drawer into the sub-directory "FCFonts/SWOLFonts" and use them. As a matter of fact, I highly recommend that you do so, because it makes it so much more convenient. Note: HD_Install, when run from…
This is Pat Brouillette (see about..authors) I've sort of taken over (is this CompuServe?) correspondence here. I can answer most technical questions and a few of the bean-counter type, although I prefer the former. In response to your questions: 1. Oops, already answered that one. OK, I'll put my name…
We've got a lot of requests for that (text hopping over a graphic,) but I believe the reason it isn't implemented on any software is because it is such a difficult programming trick. Writing the software to be able to hop over one graphic is easy, but one can't assume…
The "HD_Install" icon pretty much does the same thing as is written in the manual, with one exception. Because of personal preference, I like to have the additional fonts on the Extras disk located in the same directory as the other outline fonts that come on disk 1 (the program…
We were going to leave the Mail merge capability to AREXX, and we even had a script that was printing mail merges pretty much the same way Word for windows does, but it wasn't stable enough to ship with the program. If you have ARexx installed on your machine, and…
That seems to be a very common thing going on. I don't believe we explained it well enough in the documentation that those fonts are outline fonts for Final Copy to use. Somehow, somewhere, we seem to have left the impression that those fonts can only be used if you…
I didn't mention this earlier, but we will need you to send in your original disk.
I hate to say this, but we haven't been able to duplicate that bug in-house ( we torture tested FC for a month ). The only way to find out what's going on is to get a copy of a document that exhibits those problems. It would also be helpful…
FC only works with the fonts we supply, but we have a LOT of fonts in-house that we haven't decided how to distribute yet. As far as printer drivers are concerned, those are created at commodore. All I can tell you is that they've pretty much remained the same since…
We're working on converting several fonts. Although FC is released with 30-some font, people need more. We just haven't put disks together yet. If you could post a list of your favorites, we'll see what we can do.
That's fine, we'll send you a replacement FOC.
Well, this is Pat B (graphics), and yes, there is a Courier-type font included with Final Copy. I made sure we had one because I know how much we like to have source code printed in Courier. B^)
All products have been shipped, you should be getting yours this week.
Pen Pal v1.4, available for $4, works properly on 2.04 ROMs. Call SoftWood at (602) 431-9151 to order
Gordon Harwood Computers has Proper Grammar in the U.K. They advertise in Amiga Format and you get their number there. If you can't find their ad, let me know and I will give it to you. Woody
Yes, that is correct. The latest version is 1.4. We are working on a new version – 1.5 that will support our new word processor. You may want to wait until it is ready. Woody
The only printer drivers we include with Pen Pal are the ones from C=. I wish I had a quick fix for your problem. It does sound like an initialization problem. I have not heard of the problem from other users. Are you using the latest version of Parallel and…
Thanks for the additional info. I'll check it out.
Hi. You can lighten your printouts by using a lower density setting. This is done in Pen Pal's Graphic Print Preference screen. The higher the density setting is, the more passes the print head makes on your page. Thanks for the complement – I'm glad you like the product. Woody
#Printing with PP V1.3.17
Message #21606
I have not been able to reproduce your problem regarding printing on the PaintJet with Pen Pal. If you will send me your document and files necessary to recreate it, I will try it here. Otherwise, perhaps you could tell me more about your Amiga configuration. Are you using an…
When I am going to print using printer font I use Topaz 11. Woody

Hi Laurie. Yes the update is works on both NTSC and PAL.
I will look into this problem. My personal printer here is a PaintJet, and I have not experienced this problem. I will get back to you.

Online Dictionary
Message #21328
Yes the dictionary database is just like opening up the large book version. It contains everything about a word you find in the book version. The database size is 6.5 megabytes for the largest version. That is 6.5 megabytes of highly compressed data too. In addition, the search engine of…
Proper Grammar
Message #21327
Hi Jane. Yes, Proper Grammar works with the Amiga version of WordPerfect. You can read into Proper Grammar WordPerfect documents, check them for grammar and spelling, modify them on screen, and save them back to disk as a WordPerfect document. A side benefit of the program is that it can…
Thank you Steve. If I can do even half as good as you did with Pen Pal, I will feel good. I appreciate everything you and Dick did for me. Without your assistance over the last three years SoftWood would not be in business now. Woody
