#215432 #ShapeShifter ??? Message #215717
From: Alan Sircombe Amiga User Forum · Emulations October 18, 1995 4:10 PM
Paul, I finally solved the problem. It was finger trouble setting up the EMPCD: device driver and once solved everything works fine. Basically when entering EMPCD: into the ASL requester to create a second device I got an error message saying no disk present in drive EMPCD: regardless of whether…

Paul, I also have similar problems getting ShapeShifter recognising my Toshiba CDROM. I can get SS to play audio CD's quite happily but not recognise data disks no matter what I try. I am interested in the replies you get to this problem. Alan (Via Autopilot,Gloucestershire,UK)
#196902 #Wordworth Message #196984
Asha, Since I did this for a friend, some time ago, on his A500 + GVP harddrive I have'nt got the info readily to hand. From what I remember I copied the following directories (WWFiles,WWTools,Catalogs) from the Wordworth AFC disk to sys: and the WWFonts directory to RAM:. Try that…
#196767 #Wordworth Message #196850
Asha, Just for info I managed to get the Amiga Format demo version of Wordworth to run from a hard disk, the only problems I had were that it expected the fonts to reside in WWFonts: on the Ram disk. Getting the libraries assigned correctly was not too much of…

Paul- From what you have just said am I right in assuming that Cybergraphics already supports the Retina Z3 apart from the exceptions you mention. At present I have a 4Mb Retina Z3 card in my A4000 and find the fact it allocates chip a real pain and would like…
#183381 Amiga and Compuserve? Message #183458
From: Alan Sircombe Amiga User Forum · Communications January 28, 1995 2:20 PM
Joe, I had a similar problem which was basically caused by the hard drive becoming fragmented and short of space. Once the drive was de-fragmented using Quarterback Tools, the transfer speed was OK. Downloading to RAM: instead of the hard drive should also help. Alan (Via Autopilot,Gloucestershire,UK)
#177297 Termite anyone??? Message #177341
From: Alan Sircombe Amiga User Forum · Communications December 10, 1994 5:29 PM
I've tried installing it twice and also running it directly from the original disk without success. Also I have looked at what is happening using Snoopdos 3.0 (an excellent program) which indicates that the system is carrying out a Load Termite process which is failing. I have also tried running…
#Termite anyone??? Message #177101
From: Alan Sircombe Amiga User Forum · Communications December 9, 1994 3:18 PM
Hi Dale, I have just bought Termite at the World Of Amiga Show in the UK today. Did you have any trouble with the installation because I installed it on my A4000/30 and when I double click the Termite icon I get the message "Unable to find your tool Termite".…
#Buster Chips Message #168270
From: Alan Sircombe Amiga User Forum · Bridgeboard/AMAX October 18, 1994 1:57 PM
I hope this message is in the right forum. I am after any source (Name,Address,Telephone Number) of a -09 or preferably a -11 buster chip for a A4000. My friend has a A4000 with a -07 buster (I know these are only supposed to be in a A3000) and has…

Hi Rolf. I experienced a similar problem when using the excellent Magic Menu program using the blitter. Problem went away when running under retina standard mode. Alan
