A2000 Crashing – HELP!
Message #48242
Got a problem. Suddenly my old reliable Amiga 2000 has begun to crash after about 45 minutes on very hot days and some not-so-hot days, yielding a "Software Error" message. Recently, I have been making modifications to it, but everything has been working very well. In order to facilitate the…
Why a grand? You can get them second-hand, here on the forum, for $200 – $300. Or do you need a hugh one? Sorry, I missed the first part of the thread. . C. Davey

They have NOT bitten the bullet, they are going strong. Pure Logic SW, reachable at orres@teleport.com. There is san extensive update planned for On The Ball so you might want to consider buying a legit copy. . C. Davey
Comes with 3.1, not 2.x. . C. Davey

>Soft-Logik is a US based company, not UK. We're based in St. Louis, >Missouri. We do sell products created by Digita, which is a UK based >company. I knew that, really, I did, but I mispoke. sorry. C. Davey
>Soft-Logik is a US based company. Soft-Logik is the US agent for Digita >International Ltd, the UK based company which makes, among other things, >Wordworth and Datastore for the Amiga. Ah yes. I stand corrected. I actually am aware of that distinction but didn't make it in my message. >Support…
Thanks for all your help. I got a message from my Godson (a coputer whiz) today that gave me a bunch of stuff to check, I'll let you know how I make out. . C. Davey
>single click on the Migraph_OCR icon, then hold down the right Amiga Key >and hit the i key. I don't even have the OCR sw loaded yet. I'm still trying to access the scanner with just ColorKit Pro. . C. Davey
Using the cable that came with the scanner. It's the only thing left. It's only about 4 feet long. I too had to rearrange my entire set-up. . C. Davey
They way I see it, user input is an integral part of sw developement, and the company that listens to it's users (like Softlogic do) is the one that will eventually have the best sw. C. Davey
Actually, I have a 105meg Quantum that I am hoping to use with the Vortex. It's not IDE, however. Guess I better read that book again that comes with the Vortex. C. Davey
You can't go wrong with this one. Plus, once you buy one, you get a sizable discount on all their other sw. C. Davey
>Are they REALLY open to user input? Absolutely! I have made several suggestions and asked many stupid questions, and have gotten IMMEDIATE support from Mike Loader. Softlogic is a UK based company and they rewally seem to want to know what users of their programs think. Of this you can…

Carl, I think I asked you this before and didn't get a response on this part of the question. How does the IDE drive that you offer with the Vortex physically mount in the computer? Does it have it's own card? Would you sell it seperately? How much? C. Davey
You absolutely won't regret buying Wordworth. I was looking for a long time for a decent WP for the Ami and this is it! I used WordPerfect for a long while and it was just not there. Haven't tried the others, but asked here before I bought and WW came…
I see. Have you contacted Mike Loader, 76004,1676, and sugggested that it be included in future versions of WW? They are quite open to input from users and seem devoted to making it an even greater program. I'd like to see a keyboard template that shows what the F-Keys will…

I use Wordworth and it's great. The interface is very fine, the best I've seen on an Amiga program. It keeps getting better, and is so easy to use. I love it! It's a real pleasure to use. C. Davey

If you worr about quakes you are living in the wrong place. C. Davey
Sounds good to me. I've got one in Venice that was built in the 20's; it's so riddled with termites that it just sways in a quake. (knock wood! :^) C. Davey
