#CG II Fonts Message #47493
From: Tom Madine Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile June 29, 1995 9:14 AM
We've used CGII for several use (registered user). I need some new fonts, and was disappointed to learn that Sherif no longer supports this product for Amiga. Does anyone have any fonts for this program, or a copy of their font conversion utility? thanks.

We are currently considering switching from an Amiga CG to a PC platform. We do a lot of CG text over backgrounds. For the Amiga, we use Pro Fills, which gives us a broad assortment of textured and detailed backgrounds, over which we super the text. I'm not interested in…

The MX-30 or Videonics MX-1, coupled with a Futurevideo edit controller would do a great job for you, and within your budget! You might also try CEFORUM. They specialize more in consumer equipment. Good luck…let me know if I can help.

James: Thanks for the reference to your review; it is informative and helpful. My next question is: at it's best, how does the Produce Pro compare to the output quality of an Amiga w/ supergen. Thanks for your help. Regards, Tom

OK, call me old fashioned. We do a lot of linear editing in SVHS and Beta, using an MX-50 for effects and an Amiga with Supergen and Broadcast Titler for CG. Someday, my Amiga may break down, and the thought occurred to me that we better have a back up.…

Peter: The video is used for presentation, and the client wants an overlay similar to what a CG would lay down. the "black hole" of a window dub would not be acceptable to them. Thnaks Tom

thanks for the time code suggestion. the time overlay is for presentation, and the widow dub would block out important content on the tape.

We have a client who wants us to superimpose a running timer over video; similar to what they use at horse racing tracks. the timer would show hours, minutes and seconds (00:00:00) and be laid down in post production. If I can find software that would run a timer, I…
