>Many times…a simple cleaning of the floppy will take care of the problem.< I've got my fingers crossed! >….other times, it's not the floppy drive that's bad, but one of the 8520 CIA chips in the computer that has gone bad. With my luck that could be the source of…

> if you insert a disk from which you are 100 per cent sure that it is intact, then the disk drive is defective :(( < Bummer, if that's true, I have a defective drive. However, it might be a good opportunity to upgrade to that HD drive . .…

>whatonearth are you talking about?< Lepido: You have to see the screen to understand. If the machine is booted without a hard drive, and no bootable floppy in DF0: a purple colored screen is seen with an animated disk being inserted into the image of a disk drive. It is…

I get a message saying "Not A DOS Disk" when I try to access the floppy drive on a A1200. It could be that a "mount" command, or a file was wiped out. Can anyone help? Bob Campbell Clover, SC

Bil Good question. I've got a BOSS too and have wondered whether it's possible to down load to the Amiga without buying Casio's PC link it. The kit *is* expensive. Please let me know if you get an answer Bob Campbell Clover, SC
Gary, you will need to find and download DiskMash to unpak a file with the #?.dms extension. DiskMasher should be in the AmigaUser library. Good Luck
