C++ for Amiga? Message #24191
From: Ken North Amiga Tech Forum · C Programming June 5, 1992 6:20 PM
Is anyone using the the Lattice C++ – it was a "close-out" item around the time that SAS took over the C compiler. Is there an update from SAS or Lattice to C++ 2.0 or 3.0, including 2.0 streams?

Thanks.. all of the responses were helpful, even though my original message didn't really specify the MultiStart. The consensus seems to be buying a MultiStart is not a bad choice…

My preference for now is to be compatible with both. For one thing, I still have some unused/unopened games that are vintage '86-87. You don't tire of them if you haven't played them! I spend a lot of time in front of a computer screen (programming for a living), and…

The Multistart is the board that I'm seeking information about. Thanks for the info. Maybe the dealer's comments were about the early Multistart boards.

He said that of the first 5 they received, 3 were DOA. He added that the fourth failed within a month! That sounded serious enough to get outside confirmation..

#1.3/2.0 ROM Cards Message #48108
From: Ken North Amiga User Forum · Amiga Hardware February 4, 1992 2:24 AM
Can anyone provide feedback on their experiences with the DKB Multistart cards? A local dealer doesn't want to install one because he had a 60% failure rate. Are there other cards which permit selection of 1.3 orr 2.0 ROMs?
