Ken, I'm the one person that John was talking about that had a problem with the DKB MultiStart II board. There are three ROM-switchers that I know of. They are: 1) MultiStart II by DKB 2) KickStart Board by Utilities Unlimited of Oregon 3) Switch It by Global Upgrades I originally wanted the DKB, but my delaer talked me out of it. He said to get one that has a hardware switch. I then got the KickStart Board, which uses a 3-position switch to change ROMs. I went through three boards and none worked. I got a refund and then left a message here. The DKB board got glowing reviews. I called the Grapevine Group to order one, but they were on backorder for 2-4 weeks. The guy from Grapevine suggested the Switch It board. He said it was very similar to the DKB board, but only allowed for 2 ROMs. It was software switchable and he had it in stock. I left a message here for comments on the board and a gentleman offered to sell me a DKB board which was unused. He ordered it in September before 2.0 was released because he correctly figured that the DKB board would be on backorder after 2.0's release. He then decided not to use it. When I installed the DKB board, it wouldn't switch ROMs. It would always boot from the default ROM. It turns out that my unit was one of the first ones made. Probably, the others who have endorsed the DKB got a later version that worked properly. I sent the board back to DKB and the tech had to change a couple of resistors. I just got it back with a registration card and a new manual. Apparently, they've even changed the manual since the first units were sold. I haven't installed it yet. The point is that from everything I've heard, the DKB board is the one to get. My problems were caused by an early production model of the unit. I would not recommend the KickStart board and I don't know anyone who's ever tried the Switch It board. Good luck. Dom Fontana
