On page 75 of the 03-28-94 US News + World Report theres a picture of the AUTOPILOT screen.
Try running something called Degrader that will force your screen to accept PAL mode. If you do this and are multi-tasking with DPIV be sure to run Degrader again going back to NTSC or you'll be burned by PAL mode in DPIV.

I've had problems. My 2.1 upgrade was fine but my 2630 ROM upgrade was and is a joke. On 5-4-93 they sent me 2 chips which didn't work(wouldn't boot up and all I got was a purple screen). Sent them back. 5 weeks later I get a box but theres…
I'll take a look. I tend to remove things from the hard drive if they don't affect the machine. I its not there I can get a copy without any problems. Thanks Dave Lewis
I tried your suggestion and unfortunately it didn't work. I've never horsed around with the controller before. I bought the 2000 about 2 years ago and I know I'm at least the 3rd owner of it. Am I looking for a file called "gvpscsi.device"? I looked for a file with…
I'll give a try. I called GVP today and they didn't think I could do it. They suggested upgrading to a SERIES 2 controller for about $90 Thats a great price but I have 2 meg of RAM chips on the present controller which I would have to toss. If…
I'll give them a call on Monday. I hope they got something for the Series 1 considering that they discontinued it a while ago. Thanks, Dave Lewis
#HD reformat
Message #98960
I have a GVP series 1 controller. Is it compatable with the 2.1 OS? I have AutoPilot and I upgraded from 1.3 to 2.1 and never reformated the hard drive to the new FFS. I'm a lurker and never knew I had a problem. When I try to use HDTOOLBOX…
2630 good value?
Message #74099
I did and it works great. The price was very reasonable. As I said.. its not the latest or the greatest but for the price it seems to offer a very good bang for the buck.
2630 good value?

I can pick up a CBM 2630 (probaly been in its box for 3 years!) for $475 from a dealer. I know its not the fastest or most expandable (without the DKB board, but does anyone think this is a good bang for the buck. I've gotten tired of an…
Its the missing font. I put it on my hard drive and VP 2.0 looks OK now. Thanks
It was the missing font. I copied it from my WB disk to my hard drive and it looks fine now. Thanks a lot.
As I said in the previous message I am running from the hard drive. I installed it and all of the other files using your HD Install programs, and everything went to the correct spot. When the program looked goofy I deleted it and copied the vistapro.lzh file to the drawer…
I'm running 1.3. I'll look into the font situation. I am running this this off of a hard drive, and it seems to run Ok otherwise.
I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
#VISTAPRO 2.0 SCREEN BUG
Message #51225
Clint, I just recieved my Vista Pro 2.0 upgrade and the screen looks real wierd. All of the letters in buttons are bigger than the buttons and run into each other, the black spots are smaller than the indented spots for them, the options in the pull down menus are…
#Multi-synch opinions?
Message #94584
I'm thinking of getting a multi-synch monitor and would appreciate anyones opinion on this subject. I'm leaning toward the NEC 3D and I would like to know how hard it is to hook up. It seems like I see a lot of " I hope the cable works" messages. Also…
thanks. That is about what I thought. It would seem kind of silly to be able to upgrade the processer and not be able to take advantage of some or all of the hardware enhancements which may have already taken place to the 2000
#'030 upgrade
Message #92414
Will any of the '030 boards mentioned in AW be able to access any existing hard disks or memory expansions which were probaly put in before the '030 board was purchased? I'm guessing yes but I'm not really sure. If the answer is yes how much memory can the '030…
