I'm a little surprised by your reaction to Space Adventure. I haven't tried any of this series myself, but I've seen very laudatory reviews of Dinosaur Adventure. Could anyone elaborate more? -bc-

Are Chestnut CDs Flakey?

I've tried a couple. Low budget, but worth the price. Some have both zipped and unzipped versions of the files. Sounds crazy, but… -bc-
Hi, Kazuyo, I forwarded your information to Karen Potito at ColorAge. They mentioned that they need the work done on their premises. It wasn't clear from your posting whether you could do this, but I suggested that she get in touch with you anyhow since you said you had some…

Please send me info on SCSI Express. I am a reseller for such items. -bc- Bruce Cichowlas Algorithmics Inc. 135 Everett Street Natick, MA 01760-5544 508-651-2000 800-444-ALGO FAX: 508-655-6280 CIS: [71760,554]
You sound like someone who can answer this: Why is that if the "top" of a CD-ROM disk gets scratched badly, the disk will not read. I thought all the information was in the pits. Is the reflective painting on top needed to make it work? -bc-
Thanks, Kazuyo. I will forward your message to my company, ColorAge, 900 Technology Park Drive, Billerica, MA 01821, or you could call them at 508-667-8585. I don't know whether they have filled the position, whether they had a preference where the work was done, or how much they were intending…
Re price of "Mickey's ABC's" etc.: In fact, it is fairly easy to find software like that at prices even lower than what you mentioned here in the US. But any software that provided education and entertainment for your child is often a bargain at any price. So much of…
The FBI did get slapped down, but not nearly as badly as it could have, and also not necessarily for the right reasons. Nonetheless, some precedents were set, and I think they will be more careful about seizing computer systems whose contents might turn out to be irrelevant. I hope…
The "Steve Jackson Games" BBS case is pretty interesting, too. For instance, checkout BBS Caller's Digest May 1993. -bc-
Perhaps this is a little off the subject, but the company I work for is looking for someone who speaks Japanese and knows how to use Windows and Macs for a summer job. If you know of anyone like that, I'd be glad to pass on their resume. The company…
Hi, Kazuyo! Sierra's Mixed-Up Mother Goose has several languages and it may have Japanese. If so, your daugther should really enjoy it over the next couple years. -bc-
Here are my impressions of "attractive nuisance" theory. I'm not an attorney. If some legal beagle spots this and wants to correct me, so much the better. My understanding: If you have a swimming pool in your yard and there is no fence around it (or the gate's not locked)…
Re: The Line & The Shape Eater — An Interactive Adventure in New York City It's from Cragsmoor Interactive — MediaRight Technology — Distributed by Compton's NewMedia. I don't know what it costs. Perhaps Jan should tell us, since it could be a factor in a review. There are really…
My four-year old boy enjoyed "The Line and the Shape Eater" from Cragsmoor Interactive. (Yes, Jan, I know I owe you a review on it.) -bc-
I've got to wonder whether the legal "attractive nuisance" theory would apply to those trojan programs on the CD-ROM. -bc-

Gary, I'd like a catalog, too. -bc- Bruce Cichowlas Algorithmics Inc. 135 Everett Street Natick, MA 01760-5544 508-651-2000 FAX: 508-655-6280 CIS: [71760,554]
Who makes this SCSI Express? Do you have a phone number? Thanks, -bc-
I am interested in developing CD-ROM drivers/applications for NT and have done some NT work for another client, who was very satisfied (references available). What are we talking about here? -bc-
I have a Nautilus demo CDROM that says Voice Mail: 614-761-4112 For Ordering: 800-637-3472 International Customers: 614/766-3150 My sampler came free with a Chinon CD-ROM drive, along with a SELECT CDROM sampler as well. The demo covers a wide variety of primarily arts and sciences. It was interesting, but I…
Have you certified any DPT SCSI cards? -bc-
I have both Mixed-Up Mother Goose and Katie's Farm. I agree with the previous reply on the points made. Katie's Farm is really simple and short. There are maybe six places you can go and three things to do in each place. It is just multiple choice with the little…
