Yes. A lot of the board ASPI managers need LUN support turned on. This is usually done with /L. Other than that, you shouldn't have any problems. Cris
Unless your readers are very sophisticated, they may be better off with "time to perform" tests. To test access times, perform some very complicated searches on the same database on each drive. For transfer rate, copy big files. I think this has more meaning to average users, as opposed to…

You've got the version number (2401) I believe that NT, like OS/2 (surprise!) does not enable LUN support by default. So you probably need to tell the board driver that you want LUNs. Under OS/2, this is done by giving "/ET" as the first parameter to the .ADD (ET =…

The biggest factor has been the VLSI to do the CIRC (Cross Interleaved Reed-Solomon Code). As far as I know, we're the only ones who have produced the 4x chips. The motors and servo stuff has been around from "real" optical drives for a few years. But you don't to…

Unfortunately, I probably will be at the booth some. Somebody might ask a question the salespeople couldn't handle. Cris

Sounds like the VAX is expecting 512 byte sectors, and barfing on the DRM's 2k sector size. If you can't change the driver, Pioneer will be releasing new firmware that fakes 512 byte sectors. Contact your dealer. Cris

It's not even my division, but the Pioneer LD-V8000 is mind-blowing. Check into what IBM has done with it for the Columbus disk. Pioneer Communications of Am HQ: 201.327.6400 Cris
