Keith: I Just downloaded your new Access! 1.4, and it looks pretty good. A couple of comments, however: 1) When it does a NewCLI, it puts a close gadget in the cli window. However, the close gadget doesn't get rid of the window; it just stops the cli. So, I'm…
Memory Check Message #6864
From: JEFFREY COHEN AmigaTech Forum · Forum Business/Help August 18, 1988 3:01 PM
Is there available a program that gives a graphical display of memory fragmentation that works with extended memory? The program that comes on the 1.2 Extras disk doesn't work. Thanks. JACOHEN
#5387 #RAWKEY Conversion Message #5405
From: JEFFREY COHEN AmigaTech Forum · C Programming August 11, 1988 9:13 AM
Doug: I decided to use VANILLAKEY instead of RAWKEY. It sends me the converted ascii code just fine. For now, I can live with the limitations. I would like to see, however, agood implementation of RawKeyConvert. By the way, somebody suggested using DEadKeyConvert(). Any suggestions? Jeff

Perry- Any chance of putting a hard disk cache into FACC-II? Let's get some REAL competition going. Jeff

#129482- #Blitz Disk – Where? Message #129508

Cheath: By the same marketing logic, it's like buying an expensive sports car just to get a good radio. Why not just put Blitz Disk in the public domain (or shareware) if you don't think you can make a profit with conventional marketing? Jeff

#129444- Blitz Disk – Where? Message #129507

I don't consider a hard disk cache a "LITTLE" utility. After all, look at the success of FACC-II. I DO resent having to buy a totally unrelated program (for $80), just to get the program I really want.

hard disk cache? Message #128755
From: JEFFREY COHEN Forum unknown · Tool Box June 8, 1988 12:23 PM
Does anybody know of cache program like FACC-II that works with a hard disk rather than the floppy? I've heard of something called BlitzDisk, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Jeffrey Cohen

#SetPrefs() question Message #126351
From: JEFFREY COHEN Forum unknown · Programming May 24, 1988 4:19 PM
Can someone give me a clue as to the calling sequence of the SetPrefs() routine? I can't find a description of it in either the RKM or Intuition manuals, and only found a vague mention of it in another book.

Can anybody give me some information on the description/use/calling sequence of the InitSemaphore and ObtainSemaphore functions? The description in the 1.2 Enhancer manual is useless. I have tried to get the DOCS disks from Commodore technical support, but apparently CATS is some sort of "Black Hole" where requests for information…

I've tried to use arp with both Lattice 4 and Manx 3.6. I have been successful with Lattice – It works the way the documentation says. Manx seems to have a problem. Version 3.6 doesn't seem to recognize a.lib or arp.lib as a library. Using the LB command, the header…

Bill – I found Sci-Techs number, and should be getting their info soon. Thanks. As for the C-View, that's the first product I tried. The green and blue outputs didn't come out too bad. Unfortunately, the red output looked more like purple on the composite. I tried 4 different convertors,…

Bill — Thanks for your suggestion. Do you have any information on this company – Address, Phone number, … ? I can't seem to find it in any advertisements. Also, are these products available now? Any place I called for the other genlocks all told me the same thing -…
#desktop video Message #119244

I recently purchased an Amiga 2000 with one major intent – to produce videos of the output. I was told that the computer is ideal for desktop video (although I don't understand how a computer with only a monochrome composite output can be ideal for desktop video). Well, here's my…
