I have a Matrox MGA Ultima+ 4Meg PCI card and I can't get the vibrant drivers to recognize it ( I get and ERROR 2031 or something like that saying "MGA not found" during the test video mode or at 3DS startup) If I run MGA's VESA emulator, it works…

It's just as good, but switching between modes takes a "noticably long" time. I like the MGA but is was a DOG in DOS… ( see PC magazine [1 or 2issues back] benchmarks ). I like the MGA drivers and Install process much better… I got the ATI configured so…
I just got an ATI PRO TURBO PCI 4 MEG, and I am experiencing these wait times between screen mode changes… and they are unbarable. I had a Matrox MGA Ultra prior to this and it worked great, why is this card that is supposed to be faster having these…

I got the Vibrant Matrox PCI MGAII Beta driver form the Matrox forum, and it seems to work fine. Has any one had any major problems with it? Does anyone know when the Released version is going to be posted? Thanks 🙂 >
