From: THEODORE V. BROWN Amiga User Forum · Communications April 14, 1992 10:21 PM
Help! I just got done downloading a file from lib 16 called mldos1.lha and tried to decompress it with lharc and got a whole bunch of error messages indicating that I needed a newer version of lharc although I used the available version (lharc.exe) also in lib 16. Any help…

Denis: I didn't pay much attention to what they had (I have a 1000). It apparently is an XT emulator (704K + 64K EMS according to the specs). It comes with Phoenix Bios, NEC V30 at 8MHz and supports Hercules/CGA and Mono, Serial port, Parallel Port, Joystick Port and Mouse.…

I picked up a sheet today at the WOA show in New York announcing an emulator board for the A500 from a company called Pulsar in Westbury, NY (516-997-6903) It apparently takes the place of the memory board in the A500 and had an advertised price of $550. I can…

Mike: You can run Turbo Pascal (IBM Version) on the Amiga with Transformer. It's slow but it will work. Just don't try to do graphics. I don't know if that is what you had in mind but it is one way to go. Good luck, Ted

Has anybody seen both Galileo and Planetarium? I would appreciate any reactions/descriptions as I would like to get one or the other. Thanks, Ted

Tim: Transformer is fairly compatible with MSDOS programs. However, it's hard to predict in advance whether a program will run or not. The only sure way is to experiment. As to your question about the drives, the only way to get Xfmr is to buy the 5.25 inch drive (1020).…
#TRANSFORMER Message #85413
From: THEODORE V. BROWN The Amiga Forum · Amiga at Work September 18, 1987 5:31 PM
Since the new IBM's format their 3.5 inch disks to 720 KB, does anyone know if an Amiga disk can be formatted to 720 KB with Transformer and IBM DOS 3.3? If so, how? Thanks, Ted
TRANSFORMER Message #83893

I have tried speed3.com with Turbo and haven't noticed any real difference. As for the two versions of Transformer, I have the original which, as I mentioned, works fine with TP. The only advantages to having the new version would be greater speed and maybe access to some of the…

Thanks, Larry. It really was a dumb question. I also discovered that you can do it with printf("\f"); after I looked it up. Nevertheless, it's nice to know that help is available so quickly. Regards, Ted
#28650 Amiga Turbo Pascal Message #28720

Thanks for the info, Bela. I suspected that they were holding back for some reason. I called Borland about a week ago and spoke to Steve Howes who was EXTREMELY evasive, to the point of saying that C/A had stopped production on the Amiga! And we wonder how rumors get…
