Transformer is fairly compatible with MSDOS programs. However, it's
hard to predict in advance whether a program will run or not. The only sure
way is to experiment. As to your question about the drives, the only way to
get Xfmr is to buy the 5.25 inch drive (1020). The 1571 will definitely not
work.
