Michael – Try a shareware prog called SoundMachine- I think it's available on Compuserve from AmigaArts/Midi or somewhere in there. You'll probably have to convert your Studio16 files to AIFF (in Studio16), then to .WAV, but I've tried it & it works (been a while since I've used it, tho).Good…

Michael, In addition to SampleWrench (which is a great program), there's also a shareware program for converting to .wavs . It's called SoundMachine and if memory serves, you should be able to download it from the AmigaArts forum. good luck. –Pd–

Sunrize audio control
Message #41629
Does anybody know of a way that I can assign _all_ audio to the Sunrize board on my 3000 (bypassing the Amiga's internal 8-bit system)?. I'd like to be able to do this for games, speech synth, etc. Any ideas? —Pd

Howard, Any luck trying to re-upload the demo of SampleWrench? I just got some info on it from dissidents, and it looks like exactly what I need, but a test drive would be a big help. Your name sounds familiar. Ever write anything for Electronic Musician? thanks, —Pd
#SampleWrench info
Message #41134
Can anybody tell me anything about a program called "SampleWrench"? I hear that it's possible to use it to EQ and compress Sunrize(Studio16) samples. I'd appreciate any info, like where to get it, how much, other features, etc. Thanks, —Pd
Keith- If you're looking to replace & go with 1x4s, the best deal I found was VisionSoft in CA- $24 each. Most places run about $30. Their phone # is 408-899-2040. The 1x4s are becoming increasingly rare- supposedly they're discontinued. You might have to decide fast! –Pd
Keith– Those DIPs (I assume you mean U850D-U857D) are in parallel(?) with bank 0 of the ZIP sockets (U850-U857). Or, to quote the A3000 manual,"RAM chips can be installed in either the DIP section or the first bank in the ZIP section, but not both." This can be useful if…

Floppy troubles
Message #124645
Thanks for the advice re the disk errors- I'll try the cleanup & see how things go. As far as the write-protect problem goes, everything was fine until I did the ROM upgrade- In any case, I only had the AIR hooked up to speed up things like disk copies,…
Floppy troubles

Has anyone else encountered this problem? I've got a 5 year old AIR drive (3.5"dsdd) that I just recently conected to my 3000. Everything was fine until I upgraded to 2.1 w/2.04 chipset. Now the machine tells me that the disk in that unit is write protected (but of course…
##12512-OS2.04
Message #121569
I think I've got the kickrom– when I power up, the first screen up says "Loading Kickstart 2.x". Anyway, I bought my 3000 used a few months ago, so this 2.0+ business is all new to me. Thanks for the info, tho.

I'm trying to upgrade to OS2.04 (or whatever's available short of a hardware upgrade). I'm currently running 2.0 on my 3000. My local Amiga dealer can't help me- Is there some way I can get it online? I notice there's a 1.3.2 upgrade available online.
