Input Font for Sbase4
Message #52640
Has anyone discovered a way of getting SuperBase to use the font that you defined a field for? I am using a 6 point font and an 8 point TOPAZ font is a little difficult to see when I go to input into that field. And this just doesn't go…
#SuperBase book
Message #50601
Hi there, I was wondering if someone could tell me who publishes the book "OCTS workbook for superbase 4 v1.31". I looked around for it but came up empty. An address or phone number for contact would also be a big plus. Thank you Shannon
Aha!!! That's what I get for not paying complete attention to the ReadMe file. I didn't know the SER function would accept a field name. BTW it'd be nice if on some of the requesters where they have buttons for '+-*/ LIKE OR etc' to be able to also call…
Neil. Radio buttons cannot be given names. Only CMD's used as push-buttons can be assigned names. When a radio button is created all it does is ask which field to assign a value to and what value to assign that field. BTW what is the deal with the sort order…
Thanks for the tip.. When I saw the format of the .sbd file (before your post) I was almost tempted to write a utility to manipulate the thing. But it never crossed my mind to load it into an editor. Shannon
Mark… The manual states that (in the transaction chapter) but the form designer gave me impressions otherwise. Havn't really tried it yet. . Here we go, page 4-1 "You may only create on block of transaction lines on a form." I did a quick test (tried creating a transaction on…
I had a similar problem with the push-buttons that you had with the check-boxes. The form-designer doesn't seem to mind it but as soon as you try it the value disappears. For now my solution is to create a seperate CMD button for each transaction and have it do a…
Form Designer complaints
Message #50247
A couple of complaints/recommendations for Sbase and the forms designer. The define transaction entry order is a pain in the neck. Why does the stupid thing have to reset the order everytime I add a fields? I can understand if I deleted a field (as long as it didn't change…
In response to your msg regarding using "Process Re-organize" to create a new file name and then deleting the old data-base and renaming the new one. I had the impression that is impossible to do (since I just recentally tried it) since calculated fields tend to include the filename along…
sbase is driving me nuts
Message #50216
Hi there, I'm a fairly new user to super-base. Despite the fact that my previous posts have been ignored I'm going to try once again to get a response. Currently I have two linked files. one is a list of MusicGroups, the other is a list of the Albums by…
SuperBase's Form Editor
Message #49113
Hi there, I have been familarizing myself with the Forms editor and the thing is driving me batty. The problem I'm having is with assigning Radio Buttons to a field in a transaction. What I am trying to do is assign three buttons to a field, pushing those buttons would…
What may be confusing is that the mailer had my name and address and was registered to someone else. It should be registered under Mr. John VanDerDecker. I'm the one that is handling all the computer work for him including creating a data-base. Once I'm done reading those blasted manuals,…
Registration
Message #45604
Hi there! This message is a follow up on a previous message I have left. I have sent in the registration, and back the extra copy of the main disk that I had. I am still waiting for the 'examples' disk to come in. I'd like to know what is…
