#146144 #Shell problem R3-R4 Message #146171
From: Dave Bolt Autodesk Multimedia Forum · Software Dev. Kits January 11, 1995 3:31 PM
Thanks for the info. I gave 3ds 20M using "-maxvcpimem 20000000 …" as suggested in your upload. With this, 3ds recognizes the reduced RAM environment in the status display and I am able to shell out to my editor (or DOS) and compile. I am also able to shell out…

I just upgraded 3DS r3 to r4 and now get an Insuff. memory error when I shell out to compile. For example: ——————————————————————————- ——————————– wcc386 tuber.c /s /j /ez /mf /fpi87 /3s /oail /zq /fo=tuber.obj Phar Lap err 10118: Can't load EXP file: D:\WATCOM\BIN\wcc386.exe Memory error: insufficient physical memory available…

From: Dave Bolt Autodesk Multimedia Forum · Take 5/Want Ads November 7, 1994 9:09 AM
VideoMaker is a program which provides a video production type screen on your VGA monitor to control the functions of the TARGA. It looks like a control panel with buttons and sliders for frame grab, various transitions, wipes and fades, mix level, chroma key and luminance key, live video effects…

Yes. 3DS comes with drivers to output rendered images (full 24/32 bit) directly thru this card to NTSC output(TV,VHS,SuperVHS). You use your normal VGA card to run 3DS and rendered images go thru the TARGA to another monitor or TV or Tape deck. (You can also set it up for…

Correction – I gave the wrong name for on of the software packages I am selling. The name is NOT "VideoVGA", it is called "VideoMaker+". This is a VGA program to control the TARGA+ card.

#130234 Whatcom compiler? Message #130388
From: Dave Bolt Autodesk Multimedia Forum · Software Dev. Kits October 21, 1994 10:19 AM
I think there was a little confusion in our conversation. In the IPAS3 Toolkit Reference page 5 it says "WATCOM C/386 9.5" is the required compiler. WATCOM says there is no such compiler. In the example BAT files for IPAS3 the name used is "WATCOM C/C++32 optimizing compiler (9.5)". WATCOM…

I bought WATCOM 10 at just recently (at the same time upgraded to 3DSr3) to start writing IPAS programs. Indeed there are problems. Do I take it that you do not suggest pursuing solution to these problems at this time? and try to get WATCOM to trade me a version…
