Brad- It's likewise good to know I'm not the only one with a relatively smooth running Flyer, otherwise I'd begin to wonder if it was a fluke.:) Bob
Gary, Read my replies to Saperstein and Cole. If there's any info I can provide to help you, let me know. Regards, Bob
Jerry- After reading the posts from you and others on this forum who've had serious problems with their systems, I can sympathize with the anger because I'd be upset if my Flyer didn't work after the investment I put into it. However, since mine does work and I'd imagine there…
Wayne- That's the reason I put my post. It may be that without the external SCSI cable connections and with sufficient cooling, that the Flyer and hard drives work better. If you're at all able to try a tower configuration (I've seen a few more towers from different manufacturers now…
#4000 Tower and Flyer
Message #111449
I seen that many Flyers users who frequent this forum have been having hard drive/playback problems. Since I haven't had any right from the start, I wonder if it may have to do with my configuration. I have a custom 4000 Tower. The tower is made in Germany which I…
Brad- You're right- Warp Engine has nothing to do with it and it seems neither does Emplant. For some reason, I discovered that I have to push both Amiga keys with the M or N keys and then it goes to workbench to my TBC screen. Maybe it's just a…
Chuck, I got the problem resolved. In order to make it work I need to push both Amiga keys simultaneously and then hit the M key. Go figure. Thanks for your help, though. My toast is flying these days.
I tried reinstalling software, but it still did not work. Could this be affected by the use of a Warp Engine and Emplant software?
Frank Thanks for the advice. I'm using Feral effects TBC and I'm able to access its control screen from Toaster paint and C.G. but not from the Toaster switcher screen. I'm using 4.03, but am unable to get back to the workbench screen from the switcher screen even when I…
#Left Amiga M function
Message #111051
Chuck, Though I imagine you are aware of this, just in case you're not, the left Amiga-M key function does not return to the workbench screen from the Toaster switcher screen. Since I use a TBC that is software controlled, it's important that I access the TBC screen. The left…
I was using 4.0 which didn't allow me to do more than one overlay, but I just started using 4.03 and, you're right, now I can. However, I still need the ability to use a C.G. overlay that continues over more than one clip and I'm hopeful that Newtek will…
#C.G. overlays
Message #110855
Chuck- Another suggestion for the next software update- allow a C.G. overlay to continue over more than one clip. There are times when this ability is needed in a production. There are also times that call for having different C.G. overlays appear over a single clip and right now the…
