Paul, Hard drive accessing from the CLI follows the same conventions as floppy disk accessing. You can use either the volume name that appears on the WB disk icon (like Workbench:), or the device name (like dh0:). Running the INFO command from the CLI should give you the device names and the volume names of all disks in your system, including the hard disk. Is there some particular aspect of accessing the hard drive that is giving you trouble? (like assigning logical drive names to hard disk subdirectories?) The AmigaDOS manual, published by Bantam Books is a good reference book for CLI commands.
