I'm suggesting a port of a Raytracer from Amiga to the VAX. It would be
written in C. And just as Renderman does, return a file that contains the
image. The VAX would just write the file in the same IFF format that we
all know and love. With 28MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and several MIPS,
something fun should happen. The control and file transfer would occur
over Ethernet via TSSnet. Just submit it as a batch job and wait for the
file.
This would be a similar setup that SGI uses with the Personal Iris and the
Compute Server
