Oliver, Why such a rush? (HE HE) There will be a lot of packages out in the coming weeks/months. A company called MicroSystems out of Boca Raton, Fl is beta Testing a great looking package called Online right now for Communications. MAXITERM from Maxisoft/Tardis(?) is under its third release and from what I have read, a lot of the bugs have been fixed. There are a few PD programs out there for Communications and paint like programs, and Word Processors. As soon as more people buy the compilers, C, PASCAL, LISP, Assembler, then more programs will show up here and on other services. I don't mean to be so hard, but everything takes time to get done. The software that I/me/my company is going to put out is going to take at least 8-10 months. I don't expect anybody on this board to buy it though, it will be priced somewhere over the 3K range. BUT, some of its components will appear here in compiled form. The first will be up soon, it is called ARRANGE and is basically PD in compiled form. The text files are here and the program will arrive shortly. It is a Text Formatter, not a Word Processor. It is in it's development state on the AMIGA now, but as soon as my docs arrive, it will be in final form. There are some quirks about the device drivers I don't understand yet. So in essence, come back to the board in a month and see what PD software is available and what Commercial stuff is also available. I think you will be surprised by the change. Joe
