#Amazing Computing

According to a conversation I had with Don Hicks, Amazing Computing will be
like Nybble was for the Apple ][ – technical, with program listings, not afraid
to dig into the machine, but also with reviews of products for the Amiga. I
have also spoken with Guy Wright, the editor-in-chief of AmigaWorld, and Bob
Ryan, his technical editor. They both stated AmigaWorld is aimed at a liberal
arts audience. Ryan said they don't want program listings, but short example
programs were O.K. – no more than ten lines. They said AmigaWorld will continue
to be applications-oriented, telling Amiga owners about new uses for their
Amiga. Well, so it goes. I'd like to see another Dr Dobbs Journal-type
magazine for the Amiga, so I've decided to put time in at Amazing Computing,
and I hope to write for Bob Perez' new magazine. The Amiga needs all the help
it can get at this point.
