I was dismayed when, after installing Imagine, I found out it would not run on my system. I have an A3000 25 MHz with 2M Chip RAM and 2.5M Fast RAM, running AmigaDOS 2.0 with Version reporting Kickstart = 36.207 and Workbench = 36.69. Here's a listing of the directory on my Imagine floppy: Impulse: Im_Effects DIR Nov 20,1990 1:09 PM —-RWED Im_Textures DIR Nov 20,1990 1:09 PM —-RWED info 32 Nov 20,1990 1:10 PM —-RWED drawer.icon 900 Nov 20,1990 1:07 PM —-RWED filelist 296 Nov 20,1990 1:28 PM —-RWED iconx 3688 Nov 20,1990 1:09 PM –P-RWED im.lzh 440026 Nov 26,1990 2:12 PM —-RWED Imagine.config 3650 Nov 20,1990 1:09 PM —-RWED Imagine.pic 78716 Mar 10,1991 6:54 PM —-RWED iminstall 10644 Nov 20,1990 2:10 PM —-RWED Install_Imagine 10 Nov 20,1990 1:10 PM —-RWED Install_Imagine.info 2123 Nov 20,1990 1:23 PM —-RWED lharc 36304 Nov 20,1990 1:10 PM —-RWED PlayIANM 14516 Nov 20,1990 1:09 PM —-RWED I did run the Install program and it ended normally. Neither Imagine nor ImagineFP will work: all they do is open a hi-res window and immediately return to the Workbench. I tried running from AmigaDOS 1.3 and got the same result. I also tried from the CLI, after issuing a "stack 10000": same result. AVAil, however, shows that there is 192 bytes less Fast RAM available after the aborted run. Blaq!
