I am afraid that I dont understand what you mean. Are you saying that a
program that has a graphic representation of whats on the screen, cannot be
represented in a structured graphic? Hmm..
What I am talking about, to try and be clearer, is very much what you said.
an icon bar with objects to click on, and object oriented drawing tools.
However, the final product would be a structured graphic, exactly the same
way that DrawPlus graphics are, with Postscript support. This sort of thing
will come out for the Amiga eventually, it has to if its going to contend
in desktop publishing. I agree with the present resolutions, and the
present monitor, DTP isnt as nice as on a Mac or a PC with EGA, but we all
know that Commodore is just a few short steps away from making that
limitation disappear. With this in mind, who will be the lucky company to
make a good Postscript/structured graphics illustration package?
The formula is easy! Use the same types of tools found in DPaint II (I am
sure even Aegis won't argue the success of that product) and make it
something that everyone into DTP on the Amiga will want…because it
supports Postscript.
I am unclear of what you mean about the bitmaps…can you be a bit more
specific on what appears to be a limitation?
