While I'd love to see a laptop Amiga, I think a 3rd party is the only way to make one of those things fly, at least at first. Like the IBM and Mac laptops, the 3rd party lower volumes and quicker design times are needed. It's probably not a coincidence that the original Mac and PC laptops were developed by 3rd parties. Nor that the market was created by them. And for a counter example, just look at the STacy laptop. Sad to say, Ben, the way for Commodore to screw up a laptop is to do exactly as you suggest and make such a product. At least, history says so. 🙂 andy
