OK. Just for grins and/or grimaces, here's a couple of exerpts from "MicroTimes", a SF Bay area monthly tabloid, regarding the Ami at MACWORLD (e.g., THE MAC show, held annually in SF). First, from a MAC oriented column by David Morgenstern (quoted without permission): "It seemed too good to be true – a $1600 video boad with a multi-input production switcher, lots of wild digital effects, 3D animation, character generation, frame grabbing, and NTSC output. It WAS to good to be true. It runs on the Amiga!… NewTek is thinking of ditching the Amiga (editor's note: Wha?!) and putting everything into its own box…" And, from MicroTimes's regular Amiga column by Matthew Leeds (quoted without permission): "I stood by two people [at MACWORLD] watching the [Toaster] demo. They were amazed by what they were seeing, and were discussing the immediate purchase of a "Video Toaster" for use in their business. I couldn't resist filling them in on the joke, of course, and explained that what they were seeing was an Amiga computer equipped with a NewTek video board.
