Sorry the April Fools article upset you. I thought Randy Thompson's closing
made it sufficiently clear that this was an April Fools joke.. Perhaps I
should have edited it and clearly put the words "April Fools" at the end of
the article.
Reading the descriptions of the computers, et. al., in the article, though,
I sincerely doubt anyone who stopped to think about it would really think
it was true. It was very tounge-in-cheek. Not to mention it would have been
mentioned elsewhere in the magazine than just Taking Sides… I can't see
anyone truly allowing that humor column to change their mind about buying
an Amiga.
Most of the feedback I've gotten on that article has been positive–most
folks, even some Commodore folks who've called me, thought it was funny.
Anyway, it wasn't meant to frighten or upset anyone, and for that I'm truly
sorry.
