What about IBeM? That's a shareware (or maybe commercial…can't remember) program which is also supposed to make your Amiga into an XT-compatible machine. I heard that it, too, is pathetically slow; slow enough that on an A3000 25MHz it will only run at a tick over typical XT speed. Now here's something interesting: my roommate has a Mac, and he purchased a program called SoftPC. On his 16MHz 68020-equipped Mac II, SoftPC runs IBM software at the approximate speed of a '286. No kidding, I've seen it. So what does this mean? I guess it means that, if you really, REALLY want IBM compatibility on your Amiga, your best bet would be hardware. -Jeff
