I just KNOW the phone comapnies are going to figure out how to get more money out of the harrassed instead of the harrassers. Why not make a special directory of everyone who doesn't mind being solicited by phone. Those people can pay to be listed in that directory. The rest of us will be off-limits by law! That avoids all the privacy issues/cost issues of caller ID, unlisted numbers and bizare telephone hardware to protect against harrassment. That way those who want to participate in the telemarket can pay for it. wmc
