When the clocks that looked like altimeters became popular, an irrate reader wrote to Aviation safety to call for an FAA ruling banning the sale of the clocks. Rationale: pilots would get used to the 12 digit faces instead of the ten digit faces and when in the cockpit would misinterpret the altimeter thus colliding with mountains and tall buildings. The clocks are still very popular in aviation circles. The NTSB has yet to find them a significant factor in any accident or incident to date. Moral: there is always a group of dour sour pusses ready to get irrate at any form of humor, amusement or frivolousness. Message: lighten up, guys. The economy stinks, the country will probably break up like the soviet union after this election, so a little Amiga humor should be smiled at. Save the rage for earth order problems – or at least CBM marketting – or perhaps THATS the kind of humor you DO appreciate! wmc
