Magazines are folding left and right across the country due to the pitiful economic situation. Signal Research here in Greensboro, started by COMPUTE!'s founder, just shut down a couple of weeks ago. Now is not the the time to be starting new magazines. Pulling Amiga Resource out of COMPUTE and getting it better distribution wouldn't make up for the fact that advertisers don't have much money to spend, and users are watching their discretionary (subscription) money very tightly right now. If the economy picks up, and Commodore makes some bold moves to get the Amiga excitement going again, there's a good chance it could happen. But not right now. In the meantime, at $9.95 for 12 issues (and a free general computer/PC magazine wrapped around it to protect it) for subscribers, I think we offer a good deal that has a place in the current market.
