#VISIONARY problem
To Pat at OXXI, I bought VISIONARY and sent in my registration card a
week ago. You should have received it by now. I compiled the MAGIC
POTION game provided and everything on the startup screen works. But
when I click on the West button it doesn't go to the 'ByShack' room.
I examined the source code and could not find the bug. I then
recompiled MAGIC POTION so that the main potion.adv file used ByShack
as the INITROOM location. I got the SCREENMODE TEXT screen and typed
East (e) and was able to get to the 'ByTree' room. But, again, when I
typed (w) west to go back to the 'ByShack' room I kept getting the
message 'You're back by the tree' and was not able to get back to the
'ByShack' room. The source code says clearly in the DEFAULT/END
DEFAULT space in the 'ByTree.room that 'ByShack' is (w) and yet I
can't get VISIONARY to transport me West from the SCREENMODE GRAPHICS
'ByTree' room. Do directions work while in SCREENMODE GRAPHICS using
the supplied source code for the commandline in SCREENMODE GRAPHICS?
Am I missing something?
