I doubt it would be easy to get into the underlying structure of any of the
current GUI systems (Mac/Windows). It is hard enough for us programmers to
figure them out sometimes <grin>. (say, does your speech thing handle
emoticons (smilely faces like 😎 ?) Then there are the graphical cd
programs like mine that are completely off the wall. (i didnt write the
original base for mine, it has minimal structure, i want to redesign it but
the client keeps insisting on shipping product.)
Mitch, would you be interested in developing a text interface with me? (my
titles are "Time Table of History" series, 3 titles with approximately 6000
short blurbs on various events, plus about 30 mini-mini-documentaries (1
min audio over a still image).
as for buying a cd, i agree that the PSL catalog looks like a good way to
go. Pick a few text cd titles and jump in.
