Jeff, Mega-Midget works great in a Rejuvenated 1000, although you'll have to send your machine to CSA for a custom installation. Compatibility isn't really a problem since you can switch back to the 68000. I used an AdSpeed in a Rejuvenated 1000 for about 5 months–you only get about 80% speedup, but it's a marked improvement. With the flickerFixer, your 1000 will equal the 3000's output. You wouldn't be wasting your money to buy all these things–they'll make your system much nicer. HOWEVER, if you've got the extra $$$ to go ahead and move up to a 3000, you'll have fewer headaches and more expandability. I used a souped-up 1000 (AdSpeed, Rejuvenator, a 2-slot Zorro II chassis, Zorro II hardcard and RamCard, flickerFixer) for a long time, but I eventually needed another slot, so I moved to a 2000. (And then to a 3000T, but that's another story…) Anyway, if you need to go step-by-step, the expansion devices you mentioned will work fine. But if you can get the cash, you'll be better off in the long run selling the 1000 (or keeping it as a backup) and getting a 3000. If you already have a hard drive and some expansion memory, you might go for the expansion. If you don't, the 3000 is a better bet.
