I just tried two ideas:
1. I replaced my PARADISE VGA board which I recently found to be only 8kb
with a TRIDENT 512K board; this worked after I loaded TRIDENT's driver.

2. I also loaded QEMM386. This didn't hurt.
My dots are GONE!
