$700 was the cheapest ya could find a VTR with flying erase heads for? Is
it a SVHS at least? For editing try to get a VTR with a Hard Wired Jack for
editing instead of relying on Infrared Remote Control type editors I use a
Sony EV C3 8 mm myself with their Control L ports
