NEW CDROM DRIVES
Page 11 of the April/MAY issue of MPC world suggested that 6 months down
the road their MAY be a new MPC CDROM data format incorporating the Apple
CDROMS (see page 11). Would you or could you comment on this? I inderstand
Philops has a multimedia machine with a CDROM drive that plays CD-I titles
as well as MPC titles.
If a new standard is adopted would todays drives likely need a new
interface card? Why not have drive that can read MPC,Apple,and CD-I. Am I
way off base here?
