That I don't know, I've never seen one of the 220v power supplies. I've
seen the power supply in my machine..and it does not give a power rating (at
least on the top where the manufacturer's tag is). To be honest, I would
seriously doubt that there is much different between the 220v supplies and the
110v supplies other than the transformer and perhaps a few filter capacitors.
Once you get to the DC level, I think you'll probably find they are both the
same. I know one of your messages has been directed to CBM so hopefully
they'll provide a definative answer.
Now, back to your original reason for the question….if you aren't
hanging anything else on the Amiga except the 2 external drives, I think you'll
find you have no problems at all….lots of folks have done it with no
problems. If you start to hang on all sorts of things that use the Amiga's
power then you might have a problem, but I think you'd really have to push it
with something like a couple of Meg or RAM, some Amiga powered interfaces and
your 2 external drives before you notice any problems.
